I’m late writing this. On July 18 of this year I confirmed upgrading my ISP to 3 Gbps. I have two UniFi 6E AP’s and my desktop PC has a 5 Gbps Ethernet adapter. Yet my router, switches, and by extension the AP’s all run at 1 Gbps.
What am I waiting for? A drop in prices or a magic sale I think. I need a 48 port fully managed PoE compatible switch that supports copper multi-gig. And I need two GBIC transceivers that run at 2.5 Gbps (because that’s the max my SonicWall supports).
